Professor Alan Barrell DBA FRSA
Alan Barrell spent almost thirty years in senior Executive positions in technology based Industries, working around the world in both Managing Director and Chief Executive capacities.
Since becoming consultancy based in 1998 Alan concentrates on non-executive chairmanships of smaller technology companies and charities for which he has special interests. These include Hon. Treasurer of the Papworth Trust, The Royal Society of Arts Manufactures and Commerce (has been Treasurer and member of the Trustee Board), The Centre For Tomorrow's Company of which he was Vice Chairman, and The Princes Trust. Alan is closely associated with the Cambridge Enterprise Conference and is a founder shareholder in Library House Ltd.
Alan's most recent appointments include: Entrepreneur in Residence, University of Cambridge, Entrepreneurship Centre and Visiting Professor of Enterprise, University of Luton School of Graduate Business Studies, Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship, University of Xiamen, Fujian Province, China and Chairman of Health Enterprise East. |
